And the Oscars go to…
After predicting – against many pundits – the triumph of The Hurt Locker last year, and after predicting – before the first game was even played – Spain’s victory in the World Cup, I’m ready for the Oscars. After careful analysis and based on all available information, I predict:
Best Picture – The King’s Speech
Directing – David Fincher of The Social Network or Tom Hooper of The King’s Speech
Hooper’s is the natural favorite given my prediction for Best Picture, and Fincher’s winning will be a surprise, but I’m more inclined to put my money on him.
Actor in Leading Role – Colin Firth – The King’s Speech
Actress in Leading Role – Natalie Portman – Black Swan
Actor in Supporting Role – Christian Bale – The Fighter
This is one up and coming superstar!
Actress in Supporting Role – Melissa Leo - The Fighter
And if I had to make a second prediction, it would be Hailee Steinfeld in True Grit
Writing (Adapted Screenplay) – The Social Network
Although 127 Hours and Winter’s Bone had strong screenplays, too
Best Original Screenplay – The King’s Speech
Although Inception and The Kids are All Right are serious contenders
These are my predictions. If you think otherwise, speak now or forever hold your peace…

The King’s Speech is great movie!Like!
